Quick and Affordable Decorating Ideas
Hello
If you know us already... Welcome to February 2010 Newsletter! I am very pleased to announce that we have recently updated the look and feel of our newsletter! Our aim is to fill it with great articles, information and stories that will inspire and educate you.
We just came back from a fantastic Home Staging conference in Las Vegas where we learned a great deal and are eager to share it with you! In the spirit of sharing, if you know of a great article, story you would like to share with us or perhaps a business that has a product or service that blows you away, let us know as we would be happy to showcase them in our newsletter.
GOOD NEWS! HOUSES ARE SELLING!
A roaring wave of property sales through British Columbia's southern and coastal property markets in December helped lift the province to a strong finish in 2009, according to the B.C. Real Estate Associated. The province saw 5,703 homes sold through the Multiple Listing Service in December, a 132-per-cent increase from the same month in 2008, the second highest number ever.
Quick and Affordable Decorating Ideas
If you have a wicker table or chest or other type of furniture where the top tends to move slightly when you place an accessory on top, then use a tray. Place your accessories in a tray that fits the decor and scale of the table. The wider base of the tray will keep the accessories stable and you can arrange them any way you like quite easily. Add candles, rocks and voila you have a beautiful piece of table art.
Dress up an austere piece of furniture with a surprising twist - a decorative tassel. You can make it yourself or visit any window treatment store to find something suitable. It's a very simple, easy decorating tip that can add an additional touch of class and originality to your decorating style.
Decorating need not be expensive to be spectacular. It's just a matter of trying to think a little outside the box and using the things you love the most in unusual ways or in unusual places. It doesn't take a huge wallet - it is just different creative ideas using what you already own to dress up your home.
Quick Tip
We discovered a great new resource while in Las Vegas! This is an easy way to update that plain bare mirror. It's easy! Outfit your bathroom mirror in minutes with a MirrorMate® frame. They custom cut the frames to fit your mirror measurements. The four frame legs assemble easily and the finished frame tapes right onto the glass.
Fits any mirror. Does your mirror sit on the backsplash or run right into the corner wall? Have clips or a strip holding it up? No problem.
Easy to put up -- no special tools or talents needed. You can do it! Click here to find out more
